Studio Policy

Tuition:
• Tuition for the entire month will be due at the first lesson of each month. If payment is not received by the second lesson of the month, a $10 late fee will be charged.
• $50.00 charge for all returned checks.
INVOICES WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL. PLEASE INCLUDE PARENT EMAIL ADDRESS IN REGISTRATION FORM
Scheduling:
• Lessons will be scheduled during lunch hour, free periods, or after school.
• Students/parents can access my website to view schedule.
Cancellations:
For cancellations, scheduling makeup lessons, and other scheduling inquiries, login to mrquaranta.mymusicstaff.com
• If a student must cancel/miss a lesson due to sickness and not attending school, I MUST BE NOTIFIED BY 7:00AM ON THE DAY OF THE LESSON OR THE STUDENT WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE LESSON. If I am notified by 7:00 am, a make-up lesson will be available at a later date. Make-ups need to be scheduled within one month of the cancelled lesson. No refunds will be given.
• If a student fails to notify me of a conflict by the specified time, a make-up lesson will not be scheduled. Exceptions will be made for family emergencies.
• If a student does not show up for their lesson, no make-up will be scheduled.
• If a student comes to their lesson without their music more than two times, no lesson will be given and no make-up will be scheduled.
If cancelling the morning of the lesson, please call or text 630-988-2642.
One month advance notice is required if you choose to stop lessons. PREPAID TUITION IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
Music:
• Students are not required to purchase their own music book. The first copies of music will be provided by Mr. Quaranta. However, it is highly encouraged to purchase a book or two if the student plans to study voice in college.
* If the student loses their copy of music, they will be able to purchase a new copy for $1.00.
If music is purchased online, the student will be charged the cost of the music on their next invoice. (Many times pop-tunes have to be purchased online.)
Practice:
• Practice is crucial to success!!! Students will be expected to practice.
• Ideally, students should practice at least 30 minutes per day. Students must understand and accept the responsibility of private voice lessons. (1 lesson per week and at home practice) The student will make little progress in their short time, once a week with me. It’s just like anything...to succeed to your fullest potential, you must practice to see results.
Recital & Performances:
• Students will be STRONGLY encouraged to participate in studio recitals and competitions.
Accompanist fees for the studio recital and competitions will be $20.00 for each event, payable to accompanist. This fee will cover one rehearsal and one performance with the accompanist.
